We Won!


Have you noticed that my blog has been a little...hmm whats the word..bland lately. No yummy recipes, crafting has all but ceased, and my random picture taking has lessened a bit. There is a reason for this. I decided to coach the junior varsity girls basketball team here in Baker. Yep that is right...this former high-school All-American/college playing/junior national team gold medal winning/ WNBA drafted/overseas contracted basketball player is coaching.

We started out 0-5.

I haven't slept well in 3 weeks.

But tonight we won! 57-16..the girls have been on the verge of playing good basketball for all of our losses. Not typical girls basketball (a.k.a. rat ball) but actual running plays and scoring basketball. We have been close..1, 2, 4, 5 and 3 point losses but still losses none the less. Now we have a w...thank god. In light of this, I leave you with 40 inspirational speeches in 2 minutes. I am going to steal some of these lines. I love basketball.

So bear with me for the next two months. Things will be back to normal soon...
